Tony Reid is a graduate of Norfolk State University and served in the United States Army as an Infantry Officer during the Vietnam era. After being honorably discharged from the Army in 1978, Mr. Reid was employed by Caterpillar Tractor Company and later Munck Systems. He founded Automation Precision Technology, LLC (APT) in 1986 with a vision of providing quality manufacturing, IT, training, professional services and logistical support to military and commercial customers worldwide. In selecting APT as the National 8a Graduate of the year for 2003, the Director of the Small Business Administration recognized Mr. Reid for the visionary employee relations and hands-on leadership that have guided APT to a revenue growth of over 110% in the past three years. Mr. Reid is an active supporter of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and the Norfolk Public School System. He is married and the father of two sons.
